January is always a time for reflection; a time to look back and look forward. We are all very excited about what is in store for 2016. Please be sure to follow us on Facebook and stay current on your monthly e-newsletter for information on progress that is occurring at Edwards AFB and for all of the fun resident events we have planned for the upcoming year. We look forward to spending time and getting to know our families in future resident appreciation activities.
The last 12 months have been an overwhelming success for Corvias Military Living. Within 12 short months our team members completed over 100 home renovations, hosted five resident events, nearing completion on a community center and we continue to implement initiatives to improve our customer service for our families.
We would like to thank our Air Force partners, the Edwards AFB leadership and the residents for their continuing support and partnership. We couldn’t provide quality homes and neighborhoods without your assistance.
As we go into 2016, our team members will continue home renovations, complete construction on the 10,000 sq. foot community center and pool, host resident events, upgrade many of the community parks and continue to provide top-notch customer service. We’re experts that have managed military housing at other installations for more than a decade. As Corvias team members we are guided by three core principles.
- Be the Best Provider of Customer Service
- Give Back to the Communities we Serve
- Be the Best Place to Work
These principles have guided us in the past and will guide us in the future. We look forward to many more years of partnership at Edwards AFB.
We at Corvias Military Living wish everyone a happy new year. If you have any questions please call the Community Office at (661) 385-6060
Last month, families living on-post received a housing survey from SatisFacts to determine resident satisfaction. The data collected from this survey helps Corvias improve your experience living on-post.
The SatisFacts survey is for all types of residential management companies. Corvias Military Living has earned a superior rating from SatisFacts the past eight years and has also achieved the highest score for companies with at least 10,000 homes seven times.
Congratulations to the Edwards AFB SatisFacts survey winner Abbie Finlayson and Janelle DelaCruz! They were chosen at random to receive either the IPad or Go Pro Camera for completing and returning the SatisFacts survey. We appreciate the valuable feedback! With your feedback, we will continue to provide the best homes, community, service and value to you. Thank you for allowing us to provide your family a home.
Spread the word! Deadlines for the Corvias Foundation $50,000 Scholarships and $5,000 Educational Grants for children and spouses of active-duty service members are coming up soon. Applications for high school seniors are due February 11 and applications for spouses are due May 5. Applications available online at corviasfoundation.org.
Now comes the hardest part of the holidays…the cleanup! Just a friendly reminder that Edwards AFB residents have until Thursday, January 14 to take down their exterior holiday decorations in family housing. Until January 14, all lights and decorations must be turned off every night by 10:00 p.m. For additional questions, please refer to your Resident Responsibility Guide.
Corvias Military Living is making it easier to get rid of your old Christmas tree this holiday season. From Monday, January 4 to Monday, January 18, base residents can put their old Christmas tree in a waste dumpster at the Corvias Community Office (402 West Forbes Ave). The dumpster will be east of Building 6696 along Payne Avenue. Please remove all decorations and tinsel from the tree before disposing of it. Please don’t put your tree on the curb during your regularly scheduled trash day; it will not be picked up.
